Armageddon
live and let live

Armageddon I thought a voice would break the silence Delivering wisdom from on high Perhaps your faith is like a diamond Like a sparkle in your eye. So hard it screams with desperate claims Making living phantoms writhe Passions eclipsed by dying flames Only nod while decomposing. Shivering visions all a-tremble Pointing at the hints for distant trains The whistle blows and I am falling Into fodder for the battles fought. The remains Defeated and silenced in the mayhem Though I bet my dying breathe While angels wage holy warfare These Mortals imagine medals for honors Flowers on graves everlasting, as reward, Tended to the end By belly dancers and those too fragile Those enraptured by glory looking to give Forgetting to live and let live.
