Blessed is the Rain

BLESSED IS THE RAIN

Blessed is the rain Like the tears of a saint Washing away The sins of the world. Falling without restraint Soaking my hair With thick drops I am bathed by the heavens. I taste the clear cool water On my tongue Rejuvenating my soul Relieving anguish. The deluge drenches my heart With the elixir of forgiveness I bow my head and receive dispensation As my skin tingles with icy acceptance. I am far from grace Obstinate in my beliefs Bound for turmoil I long to control my world Too frightened to let go. As gentle as a summer shower I tumble with the breeze Uncertain of my footing Suspicious of blind faith. I reach out my hand Tapping the rhythm of the drizzle Constant and assuring I turn to nature for salvation Delivering my trepidation To the wisdom of the elements. ©2026 Stephanie M. Vargo

Lovely and stunning. Blessed to read your work
I like this. Water holds immense, invisible properties - it felt like rain was bathing me from the inside.
